Should uniformed sheriffs/officers take part in rallies?

I already know some disagree big time with this... Honestly I am TIRED of hearing how many gun owners hate police because they are the ones tasked with confiscation... Then people in the gun community complain that sheriffs do this and show support for the 2A WHILE in uniform.... Can't please everybody but I will take this any day....

I personally want to know which men wearing the badge supports their oath of office and the ones who don't. I am happy to see this. If politicians can show their true colors (COUGH blackface Northam COUGH) Why can't they? These guys aren't writing the laws, they are the ones who are ordered by the politicians to do unconstitutional things, and I like to see those who basically tell politicians to suck it (in a nice way......)

I know Sheriffs are elected and officers are hired so that comes into play. I get there are department politics and I know EVEN though on the back of my own husbands graduation program the oath they take to protect the Constitution, they could not participate in uniform. How is it that the politicians who take an oath to uphold the Constitution, can show their disdain for some Constitutional rights, BUT those in many departments can’t? They are all public servants. The people deserve to know, at least that is how I feel… The politicians represent the country, just like officers/sheriffs represent their departments. I GET IT, it would need to work both ways and they could participate in anti gun rallies and what not. Guess they could also join Antifa, BUT then we would know who needs to go or the discussions that need to take place with departments. I know one officer doesn’t rep a whole department when it comes to their ideals on things, BUT when it comes to a Constitutional right?

Maybe I’m just in a mood, and I’m looking at it wrong, but I appreciate seeing at least Sheriffs show they support the People’s right to bear arms. How are your sheriffs departments?
