"It is time to engage in meaningful conversations."

"It is time to engage in meaningful conversations."

The United States Constitution was written for everyone who is a citizen of these United States; even those who don’t understand it.

In its most simplistic state the Constitution of the United States of America recognizes that individual liberty is in complete control over the power held by government.

Those of us who understand the magnitude of the personal responsibility which comes with individual liberty must take it upon ourselves to share that wisdom with those who we come into contact with on a daily basis.

We have entire generations who have not been taught, as well as some individuals who should know better, but have forgotten, who are literally starving for individual liberty in front of our very eyes. We see them grasping blindly for power over anything within their reach whether it is beneficial to their wellbeing or not. Their immense and persistent desire for power over themselves is nothing new. It is simply being misplaced. That drive for power is innate, inborn in us, to master control of ourselves and reign in the gravity of our individual liberty.

We must engage in conversations with those who are ignorant of their rights. After all, we are the ambassadors of this information. These people simply don’t know what they don’t know. We have been trained to not speak about politics in public. That must change. We were raised to avoid topics that people might find offensive instead of being taught how to have conversations without being offensive or taking offense. The lack of common knowledge about our rights and responsibilities enumerated within the Constitution is a direct result of a century of making it a topic too taboo to speak of in public. This is no coincidence. Rights are easier to restrict when a person does not know what their rights are.

We must stop seeing our countrymen as the enemy and realize that a great number of them are not evil, simply, miseducated. We must learn to engage in conversations respectfully and ask questions which will lead them to their own discoveries of what awaits them when they take personal responsibility for their individual liberty. We do not change minds by telling people what we believe. We change minds by showing them why we believe it.

It is time to engage in meaningful conversations. If we fail to impart the importance and the purpose of our individual liberty, masterfully outlined within our Constitution, our freedom will be lost for lack of knowledge of what our rights are and the wisdom to know they must be intentionally passed from one generation to the next.
