You don't have to agree with everything....

This is so important.
You don’t have to agree with everything someone says/does to agree with and/or work with a person on one area which you do agree.
Build bridges where you can. Set firm boundaries where you should. Form alliances and advance in the same direction. Allow them the freedom to form alliances on fronts you are not active in and expect the same curiosity in return.
Stop demanding conformity from those around you. Do you want associates or syphocants?
