In a recent interview New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand made the following statements.
“Oftentimes I think we have more ability to empathize,” Gillibrand told Politico’s Glenn Thrush, who hosts the podcast “Off Message.”
“That’s one of the reasons why I want 51 percent of women in Congress, I think a lot of these issues would be foregone conclusions. I think if the women in America took over the gun issue and said ‘we’re going to have common sense gun reform because no mother should have to lose their child to horrible gun violence,’ you would have a different outcome.”
“This debate is relegated to the men,” she continued, her voice growing louder.
“It’s about hunting? It has nothing to do with hunting. Nothing in this debate has to do with hunting, and nothing in this debate has to do with the Second Amendment rights. Nothing.”
“I see the world in the lens of women’s issues. I’m making everything a woman’s issue. I want guns to be a woman’s issue, "

Progressives want to complain about sexism and gender inequality and then come off with nonsense such as this!? Seriously!?
Listen closely, I am a woman who wholeheartedly supports the original intent of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.
I am unwaivering in my resolve to protect and defend my family from all threat, every enemy, any attack. My right to do so is inherent. It is not granted by government and as such cannot be reduced or revoked by government. Nor is it subject to, of all things, my gender.
I refuse to allow spineless, helpless, victim-hood glorifying, perpetual damsels in distress, project their inadequacies and blatant unwillingness to protect themselves and their loved ones on to me.
How dare you, Senator Gillibrand, try to usurp the voice of millions of women! How dare you make assumptions about our unalienable right to self defense based on our gender! You, as an American, have the right to speak your opinion as protected by the First Amendment. However, you do not have the right to be so presumptuous, ignorant, and arrogant as to say that you are speaking for the rest of us in regards to the Second.
“I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s internet technology we should be able to tell within 72 hours if a potential gun owner has a record.” Donald Trump (The America We Deserve, 2000)
This is what Trump said in his own words, published in his own book, The America We Deserve, published in 2000.
That means that he wrote it down, read it, re-read it, edited around it, and finally approved this quote to go to press for the entire world to read.
This is what we refer to as a core value. He didn't simply misstate a talking point. He didn't get carried away in the heat of the moment. No one coerced him or caught him off guard with a trick question.
He believes in restricting the Second Amendment.
How do feel about that? Are you willing to take the chance that he has completely changed his core values as far as gun restriction and circumventing the original intent of the Constitution of the United States of America?
Since printing this quote, Donald Trump has decided to make a run for the Oval Office on the conservative Republican ticket. He has claimed repeatedly that he is pro Second Amendment as well as a conservative constitutionalist. My question is, what hard evidence has he given us so that we can believe him? At this point we only have his campaign trail talking points against his approved and printed word.
