Recently I received an email (one I use to keep abreast on gun control groups) from Ladd Everitt of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. Up until now, CSGV has been best known for being tossed into the trash heap by Big Daddy Bloomberg in favor of his new mouthpiece, Shannon Watts the Monsanto Mommy (read how she got that nickname here: http://www.1mmagc.org/growing-astroturf-the…/march-06th-2015 )
Actually I wasn’t quite truthful in my opening statement. The CSGV has been best known for advising its followers to abuse law enforcement telecommunications systems, call in false reports of active shooters, and get law abiding American citizens SWATed to death by officers responding to their lies. Ladd Everitt is perhaps best known for stalking 10 year old competitive shooter Shyanne Roberts, creeping on her Twitter, downloading her photos and demanding he be given alone time with her. For the purpose of this article however, let us run with them being treated like a turd in the catbox by Bloomberg.
This is the email:
I have some terrific news to share. As of next month, Washington, DC Fox affiliate WTTG will no longer be employing pro-gun "chief investigative reporter" Emily Miller.
April 28 will mark the expiration of Miller's two-year contract with WTTG, and that will be her last day with the station. This is the result the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence sought when we launched a petition campaign calling on WTTG to end their relationship with Miller. More than 6,800 supporters like you signed our petition, which we delivered directly to WTTG's HQ in Friendship Heights, DC last year.
It's impossible to know exactly why WTTG and Miller have parted ways, but as Washington Post media reporter Erik Wemple observed, each side issued "curt statements" about the departure that hint at strong tensions between the two parties.
Those tensions are almost certainly related in part to our campaign, which elevated Miller's biased reporting in the media and public eye and put pressure on WTTG to answer for her words and deeds. We made it clear that—far from an objective journalist—Emily Miller is an ardent pro-gun activist who has written books and spoken at rallies in support of dangerous gun policies.
And now she's leaving WTTG.
Will you make a contribution to CSGV today so that we can continue to run these types of impactful campaigns?
Just months after our campaign was launched, WTTG issued a disclaimer along with one of Miller's on-air pro-gun segments for the first time, declaring, "She is a strong advocate of the Second Amendment."
Our persistent outreach to reporters throughout the campaign helped generate news stories about the controversy surrounding Miller and kept WTTG in the public eye. That is the type of negative publicity that no local network affiliate wants directed at them.
We want to continue to run campaigns like this and expand our impact, but we need your help. As a small organization with just ten staffers, we depend on grassroots supporters to fuel our efforts.
Please support CSGV with a contribution so we can change the national dialogue on gun violence and save lives.
Thank you for your continued support.

Where to begin…. oh where to begin. Let us start with the truckload of bovine scatology Wemple (who eerily mirrors Everitt’s obsessing over certain women with his continued hit pieces on Miller) wrote about “curt statements”. Now curt statements to every person with a higher brain function than boiled asparagus would mean “It was time for her to go and we’re glad to see her gone” or something along those lines. Want to guess what the General Manager and Fox VP curt statement consisted of?
"Unfortunately, Emily has decided to move on at the end of her 2-year contract. Emily brought original reporting, got real results from her investigations and demonstrated exemplary coverage of the Baltimore Riots. We wish her the best in the future."
Now onto Ms. Miller’s statement:
“Friends, I wanted to share some career news with you. I've decided to leave Fox 5 DC station at the end of my contract. Local TV news is unique because it let me directly help people who felt they had no one to fight for them. It showed me clearly why the fourth estate is so important in our country. Now I'm on to new adventures!”
Can you feel the hatred? I can almost feel curtness leaking through my computer monitor. I am about to be overwhelmed by the amount of curtness…. OK you got me. To quote Triumph the Insult Dog: "I kid, I kid!"
Let’s move onto the next load of guano- the one in which Ladd says “It’s impossible to know exactly why WTTG and Miller parted ways” then goes on to claim credit because he managed to scrape together 6,800 signatures (most from people who have no clue whatsoever about Ms. Miller). Ladd starts bragging on how his outreach generated news stories immediately following the prior bit of nonsense. I’d personally be surprised if Ladd Everitt’s reach extends to his beltline. He’s a washed up has-been desperately trying to stay relevant and fighting a losing battle. 6,800 people was the best he could do. The truly sad and pathetic part about that bit is he is inordinately proud of his accomplishment. I wonder what is next- him perhaps bragging that he only ate half a jar of paste instead of his usual full one? Personally I think that would be a good start for him too- he’s getting older and needs to watch the waistline (also I don’t think Richard Simmons includes paste in his Deal-A-Meal cards).
Then he goes on to say that he depends on grassroots supporters to continue their efforts, but of course neglects to mention the massive amount of funding they get from Michael Bloomberg, the NYC 1% billionaire who thinks nobody should have guns (other than his heavily armed bodyguards). It does make one wonder, when CSGV is getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from Bloomberg, why do they need to beg for scraps from their followers? Then again, Ladd is supposed to be the Director of Communications for them, and draws a salary, yet he apparently spends his free time stalking a pre-pubescent girl and demanding her father give him alone time with her. Maybe they need to pay someone who would actually spend time on CSGV business instead of drooling all over a pre-teen girls Twitter photos.
I digress, so let me get back on topic here:
Ms. Miller’s contract with a local news station ran out. Contracts run out all the time. Ms. Miller has written a book, made serious bank, and was working at a local news affiliate. She decided her talents would be best suited elsewhere. She left the station to work on bigger and better things. That is not unusual considering she has previously been a House GOP and Bush administration spokeswoman, as well as the spokesperson for former House Majority Leader Tom Delay and former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
Definitely sounds like someone who doesn’t have a job because Ladd Everitt, who 99.99% of America wouldn’t know if he walked over them, managed to scrape together 6,800 signatures from his ravening pack of lunatics who follow him and his “organization”.
If you believe that, I have a great deal for you on beachfront property in Kazakhstan.
